East York Game Camp: Location – The Teaching Space, 2205 Danforth Ave. Toronto, Ontario (Main Floor)

Winter camp (January 2nd to 5th, 2024) focuses on a beginner box adventure titled “Dragons of Strormwreck Isle” an impressive adventure designed for new players that is heaps of fun for veterans as well.

Players are free to create their own characters or use the pre-generated characters that come with the box. One of the bonuses of the pre-generated characters is, each of them has a plot-tie written into the game itself.

This adventure is appealing for two big reasons. First, I love adventures set on islands. Islands create natural boundaries for players and allow the DM and party to go “an inch wide but a mile deep”. A well-written island has its own politics, history, economy, and religion; focusing on detail rather than breadth increases realism by reducing external distraction.

The second thing I love about this adventure is – DRAGONS! It’s rare for a starter adventure to incorporate dragons and dragon-lore, but Stormwreck Isle pulls it off. Nothing excites the imagination more than encountering first-hand the history, magic, warfare, and traditions of the good and evil dragons of D&D!

What can I say? I’m thrilled to be able to offer this adventure to our players! It will be an amazing and memorable experience for all!
